Our organisation

Almond Wills was created to provide a will writing service that is professional yet approachable. Our staff have been legally trained and professionally qualified to advise on Wills and any related matters involved in their drafting.

We are situated in Hertfordshire and are able to make home visits to those based in London and the Home Counties. Arrangements can be made for those living in other parts of England.

All our Will Consultants are members of the Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW). The IPW was founded in 1991 as a self-regulatory body to safeguard the public from unqualified practitioners and unethical business practices and has become established as the recognised professional body regulating and promoting the profession of Willwriting in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Anyone is able to establish themselves as a Willwriter, however without regulation, there is a danger that complications will arise in relation to the Will, with no means of recourse. As a member of the IPW, our Consultants are qualified by examination to write Wills and associated documents, have at least £2 million Professional Indemnity Insurance cover to protect their clients, have at least £2m Public Liability insurance cover, have undergone a Disclosure & Barring Service disclosure, undertake regular refresher training to update their knowledge and are subject to the Institutes Code of Practice which has been approved by the Trading Standards Institute under its Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.
